Pokémon GO App Reviews

Your update is in another castle: • still poor tracking • still no trading • still no battling friends • still no way to improve Pokémon • still no way to learn/pick attacks • still a city-slickers game • still very buggy and is crashing❗️

This game has been in development for almost a year, and they still havent realized that they should have turn based style combat with levels for the Pokémon instead of having the dumb and rigged system of the combat points system and furiously tap as fast as you can with a few slides to the left or right and hope you win the battle. When they add in the old style Pokémon combat system and leveling like they have on the 3DS is when you should play this game. Then once that happens, this game will easily take over the mobile game market

This game likes to lure you in with the Free download but unless you live close to Pokestop this game is unplayable for free. Pokémon only show up under two circumstances 1) you are at a Pokestop or 2) you are using an incense. Incense are not free so when you run out you cannot catch Pokémon unless you are at a Pokestop. In my case the nearest Pokestop is just over 2 miles away. It is not reasonable to have to walk a total of four miles just to play this game (imo) thus unplayable. I give this game 2 stars because it has potential.

I had Pokémon go on my phone and it was awesome I was level 37 and then after a while it gets boring but over all this game is great

In the middle of playing, NOT near WiFi, you REQUIRE updates of over 100MB!!! BS!! Especially when a rare Pokemon is RIGHT there!! KNOCK IT OFF!! How about: "Update us now available; you have 72 hours to download it..." Would be better than repeatedly annoying me with the commercials about the "special items"...

This game is absolutely fantastic! After fixing the original glitches, it runs as smooth as butter. I play everyday!

All i see is that stupid Steelix loading screen. And then it force closes. Saying cant authenticate when ive logged in and out of my gmail continously. This is why i dont ever want to update right away it never works properly (ios 9.3.1 iphone 6)

The central point of the game is getting out in the world. I cant update the game when Im out in the world because Im not connected to wifi and its over 100mb. WHY do you AGAIN AND AGAIN let me turn on the game, leave my wifi connection, and then two blocks later tel me I cant play until I UPDATE. TELL ME THIS WHILE I HAVE A WIFI CONNECTION. Now Ill be walking 5 miles today WITH ZERO GAMEPLAY. This is incredibly frustrating and idiotic. JUST GIVE ME A WARNING before you require me to update, it cant be that difficult!

The only thing I dislike is how you have to update to continue playing. Please fix

4/7/17 Pokémon Go keeps telling me to update, but there is no update available in the App Store. So now I cant even play. 3/7/17- The latest update crashes even more than the last update. Old review: I like how Niantic dont show their reviews in chronological order in an attempt to hide most of the one star reviews. Niantic is shady; all other apps show their reviews in chronological order. The amount of issues with the new update is ridiculous. It crashes constantly, and usually takes two to three tries for the app to open. And when the app finally opens, it takes way longer than before to find your location and load poke stops/gyms. This is pretty ridiculous since the app already took longer to load than any of my other apps combined. They also changed the algorithm so more Pokémon run away/eat up your poke balls. Nothing is more frustrating than wasting multiple ultra balls and berries on a <300CP Pokémon for it to run away. Its stingy that the developers added new Pokémon and items, but did not increase your item/Pokémon limit to compensate. This could be a great game if Niantic actually considered their consumers experience But its been obvious since the beginning how little Niantic cares for their consumers.

Overall I enjoy the game. It is what it is, with good things and less good things. My actual complaint is with how updates are rolled out. Most apps let users continue to play a current version until it is convenient to update. Not Pokemon. It is the middle of the day and another update is available and until the update is applied, the game is no longer accessible. Two options, download large download on data and hope there are incremental downloads available or wait until I get back to wifi. Considering being out and about is necessary for the game, it seems a poor decision to not let users continue playing and defer the upgrade for a certain duration.

I play Pokémon go almost every day. Its become a huge part of my life. Thanks so much! Only draw back would be its not a very smooth game. Theres crashes and its slow often

The game consistently gives us eggs that we dont want and the only way, at least on my phone, I have to hatch them. There should be a delete button on the eggs or something

Stop MAKING me update my app!!!!!!! Almost ready to quit play!!!!! This is becoming beyond frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!

This game is super super awesome and I was wondering a update you guys could do you wont be there in the game by yourself but you can see other people and tap on them to battle them and they are real people and they have to accept it what about that idea and I was wondering I updated my Pokemon go but it never gave me the buddy system my username is bruhitsrayn not my password because other people could go inside my profile so please fix my thing please ?? and you can see what buddy Pokemon they have because there are on there shoulder or flying or walking please make my update useful for the future update please I have a idea how about are buddy Pokemon walk with us I thought it will do that but it does not show like the flying types fly with you the other ones walk or the small ones are on your shoulder

Good grief. Why do I need to update every time I want to play this game. Its just silly and is driving everyone away.
