Does not work

It takes me ro where im supposed to catch my first Pokémon but i tap on the Pokémon and it doesnt do anything i tap on the catch Pokémon button but it still doesnt do anything it doesnt tell or show me how to do anything it doesnt work i was really looking forward to this game ?
