Loved, Liked... now just ok

I have been playing this since the beginning with my kids. We primarily were collecting and evolving with the occasional gym battles.
The shine is off the game with the newer updates and the gym battles are difficult for younger players. It seems you have forgotten who you are marketing this product to.
They still enjoy the special occasions with the increased sightings of rarer Pokémon and the special Pikachus.
We still love Pokémon, just not as much as before. Thanks
