Pokémon GO App Reviews

I have been playing this game since it came out every day. Then one day I logged in and it wouldnt let me log in anymore... I have tried everything, I have restarting the game, restarting my phone, and deleting it and redownloading the app and nothing works. This app constantly crashes and despite my repeated efforts to log back in I keep getting error messages. Guess Im done.

Waited so patiently for my seventh day got up early went to my first PokéStop and nothing when it came to a special item! #Sadsadsad

Worked good at first but started lagging after a while especially on my birthday. I was really ticked off Niantic. I also dont like the new update where if your going to fast then the Pokémon dont spawn! When ever I play Im always a passenger! And also several times I tried to click a Pokémon and it despawns and lags my game. Last thing when I turn on my incense and lucky egg they only go for 27 minutes. STOP WASTING MY MONEY! Already missed a lot of Pokémon.( 2 magikarps that couldve been shiny a machoke etc )Very frustrating

It was working great before this most recent update and now it crashes literally every time I try to log on.

I love this game but I am 50/50 on the speed update I ride my bike a lot and hated I had to ride so slow for the game that got fixed but locking the game pretty much ruined the game for my kids also "Big Bug" the Pokémon in my near by keep disappearing and reappearing when I am standing in one place.

Since I updated the app it keeps crashing. It keeps sending error messages in a banner running along the top of the screen. No Pokémon appear for minutes and when they do they disappear when I click on them and then the game freezes. I also get random driving messages and I wont be driving.

This app is so addicting and really makes you get up and "go"... I hope that as the developers are reading all of these reviews they see just what a great product theyve released.. I do have a complaint however,... I am not getting my level rewards when I level up!!! What the crap?!

This app, from my first day of playing, ALL the way back in July of 2016, has changed dramatically. When I say that, I mean, feature changes, and more bugs. I dont mean, any issues that we actually requested with the exception of Gen 2. At first, you could be on a highway on your phone as a passenger, and catch Pokémon and use Pokèstops. Then August came, and they added a SUPER DUPER idiotic feature. Now, it makes since that if your driving you shouldnt be playing PGO, but that doesnt mean completely ruin the game for passengers on long car trips through good areas including New York, Florida, Cali, Dallas/Houston, etc. This feature was the complete kick start that the game needed to go bad. Then, they remove tracking. Great! Now you cant track Pokémon on your map until November. Now, i know "minor text fixes" are MUCH MUCH more important than tracking and new Pokémon, but seriously. The game has gone downhill since August, and then they tried to make it better with the following: October update, Gengars and Gastlys freaking everywhere. November update: Tracking, fixed along with more candy per less distance. December update:, Holiday pikachu ("exciting"), babies (signs of improvement), and again more candy per less distance. January came along, promising as it was, the start of 2017. Well, nothing happened until gen 2 FINALLY COMING OUT IN LATE FEBRUARY. Niantic is a completely arrogant company, that ignores requests to make the game like the originals. Great. We finally have new Pokémon! Well, along comes BUGS! Holy crap where do I even begin?? I try to load the app and, 15 seconds of looking at the Niantic logo, crash. This happens countless times. Then, app loads after 7 minutes and, cant fully load data. Again, happens frequently. Cp 10-150 Pokemon running away and popping out of ULTRA BALLS AND GREAT BALLS!!!!!!! Only one of them was ditto. Complete and utter bologna. Terrible GPS signal, getting things I dont want out of good eggs. Naming my Pokemon Sakura, in hopes of getting espeon. What happened? 4 straight JOLTEONS. I DO NOT NEED JOLTEONS. Last thing— remove the stupid speed cap, or at least raise it to 50 MPH. At 20, no one can get hurt in a crash in a car. Ive had times where Ive biked, ran, etc and exceeded the cap. How do you want me to get poke balls and Pokemon if we cant play the game? Please fix and take into account all that Ive mentioned, because this took 30 minutes.

The gym battle system is pretty buggy, dodge works 50% of the time, and enemy special attack gets announced 50% of the time on time, and Hydro Pump... it usually gets announced 0.5 sec prior to the attack... not enough time to dodge. Most attack speed after update was so slow to the point its not even fun to be in a Gym battle anymore. Old system was much more fun.

This is a really fun game. Its exciting to see my favorite Pokemon in the real world. The bugs arent a big deal. We need bugs to fix so the company can make the game work properly. But what hurts is the battling and leveling up of the Pokemon. First off the only time you battle is at gyms? And its a tap like crazy swipe to dodge style instead of the turn based strategy style that made Pokemon games so intense and fun. Please make it so we can battle Pokemon to weaken them so we can catch them?? Thats one of the funnest parts of all the games prior. And whats sad is you build no connection to your Pokemon. You catch a bunch of the same Pokemon and then just trade in the weakest until you catch a tougher one then trade the other one in... I want to build my team! I want to battle and train!! Im no Pokemon trainer on this game... Im just a poke horde that throws away the weak ones. Thats never been the Pokemon style. I want that back. We all asked for a real mobile Pokemon game and it has been delivered in hands down the coolest way possible but why did you change something that worked? Guys you have millions of fans that want that game boy style still but now we get to become the masters. Just a fan with hopes for the future of this game. So much potential but you just left out what would turn a great game into the greatest game. Hope this helps in some way.

The game update does not let me log in unless I am at home where there is wifi. How can I play if I have to be near wifi instead of walking around to different places? Please fix the glitch.

The game is good, but I just wish more people play it still. I can see a ton of people are still playing, but no one I personally know plays. I want to see this game get big again and make a sort of comeback. It was a really good idea to do this.

Ive been playing this game from the beginning and the quality of the app itself has gone down. Go crashes very frequently and Ive been getting hiccups that are hard to explain. Either I get an error in the middle of trying to catch a Pokémon or everything on my screen disappears and has to wait for the game to reload, which is pretty darn inconvenient when Im playing the game on my way to and from the train station that has a tight schedule for my commute. Still waiting for features promised over a year ago too.

This review will be focusing on the bad parts of Pokémon go there are some good parts but 1. WHY THE SPEED LOCK ON POKESTOPS!!!!!! Imagine yourself ok just do it, you are with your parents on a road trip and you see a whole bunch of pokestops nearby. BUT YOU CANT GET THEM. So if your parents are like in a highway and you see a poke stop you cant get out and get it but you cant drive past it and get the items so you cant catch Pokémon so you quit the game 2. PLEASE CHANGE THE CANDY VALUES! Some people live in the countryside or someplace where there isnt a lot of rare Pokémon, so when they get lucky and do get one the person only has 3 candy and you need like 25-100 to make it evolve. It is so frustrating. 3. And unless they fixed this and I didnt know, but when I catch a Pokémon the app crashes and I lose the Pokemon. I have a story why I quit the game let me tell it as an ending. I was on a trip and I saw a alakazam on the nearby I walked to it and I caught it but the app crashed and I lost it. Thats is my frustration with Pokémon go. I like the game though its really cool but like every game it has its flaws but these ones are horrible.

Whenever I tap on the app to open it, the app just seems to close and it kept doing it so I had to delete and reinstall it. Please get it fixed!

WTF DID YOU DOOO???? THIS GAME HAD THE MOST LIT RETRO POKEMOM MUSIC EVER!!! AND YOU CHANGED TO SOME RANDOM CRAPPY MUSIC??? WTF IS YOUR PROBLEM???

Pokemon and nearby disappear all the time, even when stationary, and takes a long time to come back. My battery still drains at least twice as fast as it used to, and my phone heats up like crazy after a few minutes of running.

Since the March 24th update I cant log in my google account in the game so I cant even get to the game and play. I get "Unable to authenticate. Please try again later." Ive tried logging in with other accounts and it doesnt work either. I have a iPhone SE so the device isnt the problem, please solve the issue for the players who are blocked out of the game for no reason!

Whats the point of having to accept that youre a passenger, if you still wont be able to catch anything going above 10mph? Ridiculous, passengers shouldnt have to deal with that.

Use to be fun, dont play anymore.
