The addition of Gen 2 Pokémon does add another month or so of playability to the game, and Im a rational person and have raised my score one star to account for the update. However, the major problems with the game are still present.
- The tracking system is still a total joke.
- Theres no trading.
- Theres no PvP battling.
- The gym system is broken, easily rigged, and largely unrewarding.
- Rural players are still overlooked due to a lack of Pokéstops and Pokémon.
- The speed limit still makes the game unplayable for cyclists and passengers.
In short, Gen 2 is like putting a Band-Aid on a gunshot wound. Itll fix things for a split second, but everything will be messed up again quickly if better, more permanent improvements are not made.
